Mammography Technologist I - Mobile Imaging (36 hours/wk)

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• Associate's degree or radiologic graduate of an accredited radiography program.
• 0-3 years of mammography or other relevant imaging technologist experience highly preferred
• 8 hrs. initial digital training
• 8 hrs. initial tomosynthesis training
• Knowledge of bone densitometry, breast ultrasound and breast biopsy procedures

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Texas Medical Board certification
• Mammograghy Registry through ARRT (M)
• American Heart Association BLS

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/LOCATION OF POSITION:

• Includes office, patient care units, and invasive procedure areas
• May include exposure to hazardous chemicals, blood borne pathogens and radiation
• Adherence to universal precautions is required
• Extended periods of standing and walking are required
• Able to flex hours, work other shifts and/or rotate facilities to meet needs related to unanticipated acuity; meet operational needs.
• May be exposed to such occupational hazards such as communicable diseases and/or disoriented or combative patients.
