Mammography Technologist I - Mobile Imaging (36 hours/wk)
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Associate's degree or radiologic graduate of an accredited radiography program.
- 0-3 years of mammography or other relevant imaging technologist experience highly preferred
- 8 hrs. initial digital training
- 8 hrs. initial tomosynthesis training
- Knowledge of bone densitometry, breast ultrasound and breast biopsy procedures
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Texas Medical Board certification
- Mammograghy Registry through ARRT (M)
- American Heart Association BLS
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/LOCATION OF POSITION:
- Includes office, patient care units, and invasive procedure areas
- May include exposure to hazardous chemicals, blood borne pathogens and radiation
- Adherence to universal precautions is required
- Extended periods of standing and walking are required
- Able to flex hours, work other shifts and/or rotate facilities to meet needs related to unanticipated acuity; meet operational needs.
- May be exposed to such occupational hazards such as communicable diseases and/or disoriented or combative patients.
