Data Management Analyst II (On-site) - Office of Faculty Affairs
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field; 2 years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in informatics, information technology, statistics, or data science.
- Experience in analysis, quality reporting, or decision support.
Job Description:
To provide analysis of institutional activities and recommend alternatives designed to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Responsible for data management and analysis. Develops, implements, and monitors reporting and analysis solutions from multiple databases. Serves as an expert resource to provide reporting and analytic support.
- Responsible for the collection, analysis, and reporting of data from multiple data sources to create actionable reports and knowledge for peers and leadership.
- Work collaboratively with multiple teams to provide analytic support and quality metrics reports to external parties, including data validation.
- Prepares and assists in the presentation of the strategic process and outcomes metrics.
- Assist in developing ETL (Extraction, Transformation, and Loading) processes to acquire and load data from internal and external sources.
- Extracts, interprets, analyzes, and prepares presentations of such information for senior management
- Manages and designs reports clearly and concisely and processes and interprets report data for decision-making effectively and efficiently. Serves as a liaison.
- Remains current with database and analytics technologies, methods, and standards.
- Performs qualitative analysis of departmental functions and procedures for small projects and provides analysis support for larger, more complex projects.
- Prepares project work plan and schedule.
- Coordinates user requirements for automated systems; prepares functional specifications; acts as liaison with data processing personnel; and conducts post-installation evaluations.
- Performs related duties as required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, respond to urgent requests, and work under pressure with short time constraints.
- Skill a database and query design and development for modeling and reporting.
- Experience with Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, or other data and visualization tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of Informatics, Reporting, and Analytics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and Access.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving or analytical skills.
- Self-starter who works well alone and in a team.
Salary Range:
Commensurate with experience.
