Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Apprenticeship Program
Certified Nursing Assistant Apprenticeship Program (6th Cohort)
UTMB is now accepting applications for our Certified Nursing Assistant Apprenticeship Program.
The program provides:
- Full-time employment and benefits as a Hospital Aide
- Minimum starting wage at $15/hour, with progressive increases during the first year of employment
- Paid on-the-job learning and classroom instruction approved by Texas Health and Human Services
- One full year of mentorship by clinical instructors and experienced Patient Care Technicians
- Promotion to Patient Care Technician and endorsement to register for CNA exam upon successful completion of training
The minimum qualifications include:
- High school diploma or GED
- 18 years of age
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including prolonged standing and lifting more than 50 pounds
The deadline for applications is November 22, 2024, and interviews will be conducted December 10, 2024.
The program’s next cohort will begin January 21, 2025.
