Business Operations Manager, ASG IV (Onsite)
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent and four years related experience.
Job Description:
To assist the Department Administrator and Assistant Administrator in the overall management of the department. Coordinates and manages a variety of activities in support of the department with a focus upon staff coordination, policy and procedure development, strategic planning, and organizational analysis.

Job Duties:
- Serves as the primary liaison to department faculty, chairs, and staff
- Oversees grants and contracts management
- Develops, implements, and manages budgets
- Facilitates base salary adjustments
- Reviews and approves transactions in PeopleSoft
- Assists with variance analysis and financial forecasting
- Supports ASG IV and departmental leadership in achieving strategic goals and objectives
- Assists with monitoring clinical and research productivity
- Addresses faculty inquiries related to incentive plans
- Reconciles educational effort to actual and projected outcomes on a quarterly and annual basis
- Provides HR support, including preparation of SBARs and FWMs
- Coordinates and communicates compliance requirements
- Advises administrative staff and faculty on departmental expense management
- Collaborates with UTMB departments, including the Provost’s Office, AESC, Human Resources, Budget and Planning, Revenue Cycle, and
- Payroll, to address issues and exchange information
- Leads and oversees multiple administrative and operational projects as assigned
- Provides regular updates on project progress and assesses the feasibility of meeting deadlines
- Responds to ad hoc requests
- Assists with Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs) and effort planning
