Associate Legal Officer - Legal Affairs (Primarily Remote Work)
Minimum Qualifications:

Jurisprudence degree from an accredited law school

Eligible for admission to the State Bar of Texas.

Admitted to the State Bar of Texas within 12 months of appointment in title.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Admission to the State Bar of Texas required

A minimum of two-years' experience with litigation and/or litigation management in state and federal courts preferred

Actual experience and/or working knowledge of 42 U.S.C. Section 1983 deliberate indifference claims in correctional setting (8th Amendment and 14th Amendment claims) preferred

Prior experience with a Texas State Agency and experience with Health Law issues preferred

Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. employment and labor laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and Title VII.
