Administrative Manager (Medicine Services - Galveston)
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and five years of experience in research financial.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Administrative Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all administrative
aspects of the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for Faculty and Advanced Practice
Providers (APPs) within the department. This role ensures that recruitment efforts align with
institutional goals, compliance standards, and best practices, while delivering a positive and
efficient experience for candidates and new hires.
MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for Faculty and APP positions, including job
postings, applicant tracking, interview scheduling, and offer processing. - Serve as the primary liaison between departmental leadership, HR, credentialing, and
search committees to ensure timely and effective communication. - Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure a seamless transition for new Faculty and
APPs, including orientation scheduling, credentialing support, and equipment/space
preparation. - Develop and maintain onboarding checklists and timelines tailored to Faculty and APP
roles. - Collaborate with other departments (e.g., IT, HR, Compliance) to ensure onboarding
requirements are met. - Provide high-level customer service to candidates, new hires, and departmental
leadership. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of recruitment and onboarding activities.
- Act as a resource for inquiries related to hiring processes, onboarding steps, and
institutional policies. - Responsible for executing with minimal direction, administrative duties at the highest level
while exercising considerable discretion and judgment.
