Administrative Manager - McGovern Academy of Oslerian Medicine
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience relevant to the role may be considered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of the UT System’s endowment compliance plan and systemwide standards and guidelines, as well as the UTMB Accounts Payables Guide, Travel Guide, eProcurement, including the Procurement Card Program.
- Proficient in employee onboarding and separation, timekeeping, space management, inventory accounting, access management, ChartField Maintenance, as well as UTMB Plan, Human Capital Management (HCM), and Power BI platforms.
Job Summary:
To manage the business and other clerical activities for a department.
Job Duties:
- Prepares, justifies, and controls budgets.
- Manages the overall business activities and related department activities for a department and supervises the support staff.
- Assists in the recruitment and separation of staff and support personnel.
- Develops, integrates, and monitors systems for use at the division/departmental level.
- Coordinates fiscal activities.
- Prepares/monitors income and expenses to ensure compliance with budgets.
- Prepares budget requests and budget justifications.
- Coordinates grants, reviews endowment agreements, and contracts preparation, as well as overall budget activities.
- Assists the Department Head/Chair in goal setting and strategic planning.
- Coordinates special projects and provides liaison work within other departments and agencies.
- Identifies appropriate internal controls for the department; provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.
- Inventory accounting.
- Performs related duties as required.
Salary Range:
Actual salary commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, and as needed on occasion.
