Warehouse Manager - CMC - Huntsville
The mission of Correctional Managed Care is to address the healthcare needs of underserved patient populations within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD).
JOB SUMMARY:
To provide administrative and supervisory skills necessary to manage warehouse operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Supervises and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in receiving, storing, arranging and issuing of merchandise.
- Compiles and maintains records of amount, kind, and value of merchandise in stock.
- Coordinates physical count of inventory.
- Verifies computer inventory figures against physical count and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
- Determines daily staffing and assigns personnel accordingly.
- Instructs staff in procedures and techniques.
- Reviews work of staff to assure compliance with established standards.
- Prepares daily staffing and activity reports.
- Interviews applicants and makes recommendations for hiring.
- Makes recommendations for promotions, merit increases, and disciplinary action.
- Identifies appropriate internal controls for department; provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.
- Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure established for department.
- Performs other related duties as required.
EQUIPMENT:
- Works with various equipment which lifts, push, pull, stack, or move materials and equipment.
- Standard office equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Standard warehouse / office environment. May be required to work within the confines of a prison, jail, or juvenile detention center.
Security clearance is required; pre-employment drug testing is also required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree or equivalent in related field and three years related experience.
Salary is commensurate with years of relevant work experience.
