Student Assistant, Pathology Education
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Job Summary:
Provide varied administrative and operational tasks, handling clerical duties like filing, data entry, mail and providing support for events and maintaining facilities, all while balancing academics and working a set number of hours
Job Duties:
- Work on gathering autopsy data from Epic Beaker for COVID-19 research
- Literature and database research as needed for the research
- Attends any and all scheduled meetings with exceptions for excused absences, and participates in activities that include individual development planning and writing assignments
- Performs computational/data-based work under the direction of responsible faculty
- Adheres to all policies and regulations of UTMB • Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure
- Performs related duties as required to fulfill personal academic requirements
Working Environment/Equipment
- Classroom, library, computer facility, laboratory and/or clinical environments
May be exposed to such occupational hazards found in a biomedical research facility or clinical environment such as communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, hazardous medications and disoriented or combative patients or others.
Salary Range:
Commensurate with experience.
