RN - Trauma PI and Patient Safety Specialist.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing required.
- Minimum of three to five years of trauma related clinical experience in trauma and / or critical care nursing is required.
- One to two years of patient safety/risk management experience is required.
- Working knowledge of the American College of Surgeons and the Texas Department of State Health Service criteria for trauma designation.
- Knowledge of trauma registries and coding is preferred.
- Current Trauma Nurse Core Course certification or obtain within first year of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR CERTIFICATIONS
Required:
- RN license in the state of Texas.
- Specialty certification in trauma.
