ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The duties of this position involve supervising our lab microscopes with their integrated fluidics units (mostly commercial microscopes), conducting Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (FISH) experiments, performing in vitro amplification (PCR, T7 amplification, RT, gel electrophoresis, etc.), and training students to use the microscopes, the fluidics, and the in vitro amplification.  Other duties may include administrative work, such as, writing protocols and ordering reagents.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

PhD, MD, MD/PhD, D.O., or DVM in a relevant field (e.g., biophysics, molecular genetics, biochemistry, etc.), and a minimum of three years of related experience with Peer Review Publication

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Computational skills and programming (Matlab, python, etc.) are a plus, but not necessary.

SALARY:

Commensurate with experience
