Research Scientist I, Neuroscience, Cell Biology & Anatomy
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The researcher will involved in projects investigating peripheral and central mechanisms of chronic pain. He will conduct behavioral and electrophysiological experiments, for the latter of which he will perform patch clamp recordings using ex vivo spinal cord slices and single unit extracellular recordings using skin-nerve ex vivo preparations. In addition, he will help mouse colony management for the lab. Candidate will independently perform these experiments to collect data, analyze data, and report the results to PI.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ph. D, M.D, D.O., or D.V.M in related field and no experience required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Research experience with behavioral and electrophysiological experiments, including patch clamp recordings using ex vivo spinal cord slices and single unit extracellular recordings using skin-nerve ex vivo preparations is desirable.
SALARY:
Commensurate with experience.
