Research Associate III, SON Nursing Research & Scholarships (19 hrs or less/week no benefits)
Min Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in basic science or equivalent and 5 years of related experience or Master's degree in basic science or equivalent and 3 years of related experience required.
Specific Job Related Duties
- Plans, coordinates and directs moderately complex research experiments following general technical procedures.
- Establishes and oversees quality control measures for assigned project operations.
- Makes modifications to research procedures as determined by Principal Investigator.
- Conducts translational and clinical research as part of multidisciplinary research teams (may include survey administration, coordination of research team meetings, potential study subject recruitment and informed consent documentation, processing of lab samples, database mining, literature searches, data analysis, etc.).
- Contributes to scientific analysis and interpretation of projects.
- Maintains records of all tests performed and data collected, compiles and tabulates data, provides analysis of results.
- Confers with research staff regarding results obtained and receives suggestions for modification to procedures and interpretation of final data.
- Ensures the accurate assembly, calibration, operation and modification of a variety of laboratory equipment as defined by appropriate guidelines.
- Makes minor modifications and repairs to equipment as necessary.
- Creates figures, graphs and tables for publications, reports and grant applications.
- Co-writes parts of grants, publications, reports and presentations.
- Independently performs literature searches as outlined by the Principal Investigator.
- Oversees lab inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Presents research at local, regional, national and international scientific and technical conferences and business meetings as needed.
- May provide guidance to junior research staff.
- Adheres to internal controls established for department.
- Performs related duties as required.

Salary Range: $21.00 to $26.00 per hr
