Research Associate I, Neurology
Min Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in basic science or equivalent; no experience required.
Specific Job Related Duties:
- Candidate will work with graduate students and a postdoctoral fellow.
- Assist in maintaining lab and perform basic lab maintenance duties.
- Candidate will carry out western blot, ELISA, cell culture experiments on almost daily basis, prepare samples from purified proteins and tissue homogenate.
- Will be responsible for the maintenance of cell lines and creating new lines by cell transfection, carry out experiments, which engage cell culture, treatment, fixation and immunofluorescence staining.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary Range:
Commensurate with experience, position grant funded
Preferred Skill/Competency:
- Research Associate with some experience in basic lab research e.g biochemistry, molecular biology, cell culture techniques.
- Basic biochemistry and molecular biology procedures.
- Experience with cell and tissue culture, protein expression and purification or immunohistochemistry is a plus.
