Research Associate I (Microbiology and Immunology-Galveston)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in basic science or equivalent; no experience required.
Job Description:
Performs varying standardized laboratory assignments and experiments.
Job Duties:
- Performs routine and non-routine research assignments as designed by the PI of the laboratory.
- Maintains inventory of all laboratory supplies related to research, documentation of research data, update chemical and lab inventory.
- Lab ordering related to ongoing projects, annual inspection.
- Perform biological assays and conduct quantitative and qualitative assays (examples: Imaging, immunohistochemistry, histology, RT-qPCR,
- Western blotting, cell culture, animal studies, statistical analysis, data management etc.)
Preferred Skills
- Strong communication skills, and basic managing skills
- Good with computer software, and some experience in big data analysis
Salary Range:
Commensurate with experience
