About the Position:
This new and exciting position will include program development, expansion of team and services, and collaboration across disciplines, working closely with physicians, leaders, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. You will have the opportunity to build and lead the direction of the NICU, acute care, and outpatient pediatric therapy programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical or Occupational Therapy from a program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
- Six (6) years related experience.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR CERTIFICATIONS
Licensed by the Texas Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners (PT, OT, OTR, LOT, OTR/L).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
NICU and Outpatient experience preferred
JOB DESCRIPTION
Accountable for the management and operations of assigned clinical area(s) to ensure efficient and effective operations of therapy services across the health system to ensure consistency. Serves as a patient advocate assuring the delivery of therapy meets legal, ethical and institutional standards while adhering to the philosophy, objective, policies and procedures of the department and the organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Manages service delivery at assigned clinical areas across multiple campuses in collaboration with the assigned Rehab Services Supervisors.
- Provides leadership for assigned clinical areas, promotes team work and consistency.
- Provides oversight of revenue and expense management, validation and productivity.
- Monitors operational performance of assigned areas.
- Assists the Director and Rehab Service Supervisor to ensure that their assigned areas within his/her span of control are meeting or exceeding established benchmarks and service metrics for performance.
- Promotes evidenced based practices to ensure efficient and cost effective services with improved functional outcomes.
- Assists Director and/or Rehab Service Supervisor in new program or service development and growth in assigned area(s).
- Collaborates with other departments on various projects as necessary or assigned.
- Manages and provides status reports on a regular basis to the Director regarding operations of assigned areas.
- Manages personnel for assigned clinical area(s) to include accountability, annual performance review, Kronos, etc. in collaborations with Rehab Services Supervisor.
- Provides and supports training and staff development for assigned areas to include quarterly rounding, AIDET audits, and other trainings as required.
- Counsels, mentors and coaches personnel for professional growth and development or disciplinary action in collaboration with the Rehab Services Supervisor.
- Facilitates employee and patient flow communication and problem resolution.
- Communicates pertinent information to team members.
- Review job applicants and conduct interviews for vacant positions.
- Manages duties and monitor service delivery appropriately to therapy staff to include productivity reports, shifts in patient care trends and scheduling adequate coverages to support staffing to demand model at each assigned clinical area.
- Supports Rehab Services Supervisor in management of environment of care to meet regulatory requirements and compliance.
- Assists Director and or Rehab Supervisor with accreditation processes as necessary, provides education and oversight to maintain compliance with all regulatory and special accreditation organizations, participates in all surveys when necessary.
- Assists in the selection of operational and capital equipment, monitors status of equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Maintains an applicable level of physical presence at their assigned areas and responds to requests for assistance.
- Maintains availability as needed after hours and on weekends for employees and other personnel outside of the department to facilitate all patient care and operational processes, serves as Admin On-Call for department/areas as necessary.
- Provide oversight to the Peer Review process and ensure that EMR documentation maintains compliance with all professional and regulatory standards, provide coaching to employees as needed.
