Program Manager, SOM Associate Dean-Student Affairs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent, with 5 years of experience in program management. Master’s degree preferred.
SPECIFIC JOB RELATED DUTIES:
- Manages the daily operations of the Admissions and Recruitment area within the School of Medicine Office of Student Affairs and Admissions, which includes overseeing processes to manage admissions-related documentation and facilitating admissions decisions
- Manages and maintains all aspects of the SOM Admissions software and CRM, which include the applicant screening, interview, and ranking processes
- Responsible for the execution of ongoing initiatives to improve the efficiency of admissions and recruitment processes for the SOM MD and PA programs
- Supervise, train, and evaluate assigned departmental staff
- Provide support to the School of Medicine Admissions Committee
- Serve as a liaison between UTMB and the Texas Medical and Dental Schools Application Service Center (TMDSAS)
- Assists the Director, Admissions and Recruitment in leading the planning and implementation of all Admissions and Recruitment Programming (i.e., JAMP Summer Internship, White Coat Ceremony, Orientation, Interview Day, Campus Preview Days)
- Collaborate, recruit, and assist with training interviewer to address needs involving Medical Applicant Interview Days
- Provide individual conferences and group presentations to prospective applicants regarding the admissions process as needed.
- Oversees the development and administration of department budget in collaboration with departmental administrators and Academic Enterprise Service Center (AESC).
- Assists with and participates in various college and career fairs, providing information and guidance to students about SOM MD and PAS programs
- Promotes vision and activities of cultural diversity both internally and external to the University
- Assist with School of Medicine Student Affairs and Academic Support & Career Counseling programs as needed ( e.g., Commencement, Match Day, exam proctoring)
- Serve as a departmental Trusted Requestor as needed
- Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
- Performs related duties as required.
MARGINAL OR PERIODIC JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assists in grant writing.

SALARY RANGE:
Commensurate with experience.
