Postdoctoral Fellow, Pathology Post Doctoral Fellows
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
A NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Alan Barrett to study yellow fever virus and the live attenuated 17D yellow fever vaccine virus Applicants must have a Ph.D. or M.D. with a background in virology. The candidate must have experience working with viruses. The candidate should be highly motivated and must be able to plan and perform experiments in an independent manner with minimal supervision. The applicant will also be responsible for writing papers, protocols, and lab reports associated with these projects. The applicant must meet all State and Federal requirements necessary for working with Select Agents.
The applicants will also have opportunities to collaborate on other projects. The successful candidate must have a PhD in either one of these areas: immunology, virology, cellular biology, molecular biology or in a related field.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ph. D, or D.V.M in related field . Knowledge in the relevant scientific discipline with increasing professional achievement.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The candidate must have experience working with viruses. Applicants should be highly motivated, able to conduct independent research.
SALARY:
Commensurate with experience.
