Pharmacy Supervisor - Galveston
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy and current license to practice pharmacy in the state of Texas. Three years of related experience required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 or more years of hospital experience
- Must be detail-oriented
- Ability to use independent judgment and communicate effectively
- Strong leadership ability with superior communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills utilizing various types of media
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build collaborative relationships
- High level of analytical ability to identify safety and regulatory deficiencies and to suggest and help implement appropriate corrective actions
- Experience with Medication Safety related responsibilities preferred
- ASHP Medication Safety Certification required
- Comprehensive knowledge of current standards and regulations disseminated by regulatory bodies such as The Joint Commission, Texas State Board of Pharmacy, FDA, USP, ISMP, and ASHP as they relate to medication safety
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of all drugs, procedures, and equipment used in the operations of the pharmacy
