Perfusionist - Perfusionist Services
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited cardiovascular perfusion training program. Bachelor’s degree in perfusion technology, life science, or allied health specialty (e.g., Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Medical Technology).
Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion and licensure as a Perfusionist in the state of Texas. New grads tenure contingent on passing the ABCP exam. Validated for Basic Life Support and successfully complete accreditation and other regulatory requirements within the probationary period.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- Works with a team of four perfusionists, rotating on call schedule.
- Functions independently in the operating room
- Able to troubleshoot equipment and solve minor problems with minimal assistance.
