Outpatient Procedural Coordinator - Revenue Cycle Financial Clearance -
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree and 3 plus years related experience in admissions, patient access, or revenue cycle registration or
- 7 years related experience in billing, financial screening/clearance, insurance verification, collections, or procedural scheduling.
JOB SUMMARY:
This position facilitates access to UTMB procedural services for new and returning patients, coordinates financial arrangements including financial screening; and communicates with patients, referral sources, and the treatment team regarding patient access and financial issues. This position will financially clear outpatient procedures and will perform scheduling functions for all required appointments including pre- and post-procedure services. Serves as a liaison and information resource for physicians, revenue cycle, nursing support staff, coworkers, admissions, peri-op services, and patients.
