Minimum Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited medical college or school is required.
- Must hold a current license to practice medicine by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners.
- Must hold current Drug Enforcement Agency and Texas Department of Public Safety controlled substances registration certification
- Must hold current Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lean Six Sigma training (yellow belt or higher)
- Prior quality improvement experience as evidenced by certifications (Physician Leadership Academy, Clinical Safety & Effectiveness Course) or Quality improvement methodology
- Hospital Medicine Board Certification
- Must be board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and continue to maintain board certification during HG tenure
