ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


Clinical: provide clinical care in one half-day clinic per week for 48 weeks per year, or equivalent service; participate in weekly ID clinical cases conferences


Research: responsibilities will include 1) establishing a research program under the mentorship of a T32 Program Faculty member to be selected by you; 2) publishing original research papers in your area of research; 3) preparing and submitting an application for extramural grant funding under the direction of your mentor by the end of the T32 training period; and 4) developing collegial and productive interactions with other investigators within the Division of Infectious Diseases and larger UTMB ID research community. 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
MD degree or equivalent, Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease.  Must have completed an ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency.


SALARY:
Commensurate with experience.
