Histology Technical Supervisor, Lab Services
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a Clinical Laboratory Science or Basic Science with four (4) years related experience. Must have previous leadership experience.
- Must fulfill overall qualifications as a General Supervisor under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA).
- Technologist level certification from either the American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP), American Medical Technologists (AMT), or the American Board of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ABHI) or equivalent certification.
Preferred:
- Specialty certification in the area of operation issued by ASCP, AMT, or equivalent.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Assist the individual in successfully performing the role
- Strong organizational skills to facilitate managing several projects at one time.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with ability to provide multiple options for problem resolution.
- Competent use of personal computers and general office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook
- Broad knowledge of Lab Services principles and practices.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements per the accredited body of the College of American Pathologists.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal day-to-day supervision while delivering high quality work product.
- Ability to handle and safeguard confidential and sensitive information.
- Leadership and management skills to direct and guide others appropriately
- Effective problem-solving skills.
