Nurse Clinician
RN with two years of clinical RN experience. Must possess and maintain a current license or valid permit to practice in Texas. Current BLS required.
Vocational Nurse
Graduation from a Licensed Vocational Nurse program and licensure/permit as a vocational nurse in the state of Texas. No experience required.
Wound Ostomy &Continence Nurse ( Galveston Campus)
Bachelor's degree in nursing and current licensure or valid permit to practice professional nursing in Texas. Graduation from an accredited Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Education Program. Five years of clinical RN experience, including two years wound, ostomy, and continence nursing experience. Certification as Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (WOCN) in at least two of these areas
PCT
High school or equivalent AND completion of one of the following technical programs:
- Completion of a recognized Nurse Assistant program OR
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR
- Completion of Medical Corpsman program OR
- Completion of EMT program OR
- Completion of UTMB Hospital Aide training program OR
- 2 years of experience in a direct patient care environment OR
- Is enrolled in a recognized School of Nursing and has completed the first semester of education which contains clinical concepts and health assessment or the equivalent.
- Current BLS required.
Care Manager
RN with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and two years of inpatient experience in a hospital environment. Current license or valid permit to practice professional nursing in Texas.
ER Tech
- High School or equivalent. No experience required
- Current BLS
- Completion of one of the following technical programs:
- Completion of EMT program or
- Is enrolled in a recognized School of Nursing and has completed the first semester of education which contains clinical concepts and health assessments or
- Active state EMS certification in good standing at the date of hire or
- Recognized military training as a US Army medic, US Navy Corpsmen, US Air Force Medic, or US Coast Guard Corpsmen
