HCSS Pharmacy Technician

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
• High school or equivalent and two years experience required. Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) National Certification. Registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.
EQUIPMENT:
• Standard patient care supplies, pharmacy office equipment, and mechanical devices.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
• Standard hospital pharmacy environment.
• Working with the public.
• Working weekends and shift rotation.
• May be required to work overtime and extended shifts during emergencies
• May require heavy lifting, pushing or pulling in excess of fifty pound
May be exposed to such occupational hazards as communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, ionizing & non-ionizing radiation, hazardous medications and disoriented or combative patients or others.

Includes
intermittent physical activity such as bending, reaching and lifting up to 10 pounds.
