Faculty Recruitment Specialist - Workforce Operations
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience relevant to the role may be considered for this position.
Job Summary:
Responsible for the recruitment, selection, and preboarding processes for all Faculty and Non-teaching positions for UTMB. This position is a subject matter expert and ensures compliance with all applicable internal and external rules and regulations.
Job Duties:
- Review, approve, and manage Faculty and Non-Teaching requisitions in the recruitment application.
- Evaluate all Faculty and Non-Teaching appointment requests and advise departments on required processing based on appointment types.
- Conducts or assists with applicant screening, routing, and disposition for all Faculty and Non-Teaching requisitions in the recruitment application.
- Ensure new hires and rehires meet the minimum qualifications and pre-employment requirements.
- Provide advisement and guidance to departments and managers on Faculty and Non-Teaching recruitment, selection, and preboarding processes.
- Monitor the status of the I-9 Employee Authorization to Work and serve as backup.
- Review and recommend non-teaching offer letters for approval.
- Analyze, recommend, and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Develop, update, and interpret institutional and departmental policies and procedures.
- Develop training content and conduct training on the Faculty and Non-teaching recruitment process.
- Review requests for job postings and interviews to ensure compliance with EEOC and other rules and regulations.
- Work with the International Affairs office on compliance issues regarding the recruitment, selection, and hiring process for foreign nationals.
- Partner with Payroll and Benefits to advise on appropriate procedures for processing reappointments based on break-in service and/or retirement status.
- Creation and approval of Human Resources online documents relative to Faculty and Non-Teaching appointments via (HCM) Human Capital Management System.
- Adhere to internal controls and reporting structure.
- Performs related duties as required.
- Work on other projects and duties as assigned.
