EHR Clin Apps Analyst - ITS-Innovation & AI
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience. Must possess sufficient educational background and/or experience to perform clinical applications analysis or programming. An equivalent combination of education and experience relevant to the role may be considered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Having participated in a relevant fellowship program and/or one (1) year of IS experience.
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, maintenance, and support of clinical applications of basic to medium complexity. Clinical applications include any software application used in support of the clinical enterprise, including patient registration, patient billing, clinical documentation utilized in the ambulatory and inpatient settings, as well as applications for specific medical specialties such as, but not limited to, Radiology, Pathology, Oncology, Transplant, and Cardiology. Other responsibilities include providing basic to intermediate analysis and documentation of business and management problems to formulate clinical application requirements. Assists in providing solutions to routine problems utilizing more efficient operational procedures, workflows, and technology solutions.
Job Duties:
An entry-level Medical Device Integration (MDI) position plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless data flow between medical devices and our Epic EMR. This position involves assisting with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of integration engines (Capsule) and device interfaces.
Key duties include:
Troubleshooting connectivity issues
Performing routine system checks
Documenting integration processes
Collaborating with clinical and IT teams to optimize device data capture, ultimately enhancing patient care and operational efficiency
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
For this role, candidates should possess foundational knowledge of healthcare IT systems, network protocols, and medical device terminology. Essential skills include strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, meticulous attention to detail for configuration and troubleshooting, and effective communication for collaborating with diverse teams. Additionally, the position requires the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and the physical capacity to lift up to 50 lbs, which is often necessary for handling equipment.
Salary Range:
Actual salary commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule:
Partial Remote, onsite as needed. Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, and as needed on occasion.
