Computer User Service Specialist (Onsite) - ITS-Operations
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent in related field and one-year related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Desktop support experience on PC’s with Windows operating systems.
Support experience with pagers and mobile devices.
Job Summary:
To advise and provide consultation, training, installation, and technical assistance to computer users regarding the effective use of computer resources.
Job Duties:
- Assist customers with IT related issues, troubleshooting issues.
- Respond to requests and problems including installing, monitoring, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC/MAC hardware, software, and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance.
- Interact with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop, laptops, MACs, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines.
- Troubleshoot trouble tickets to resolve basic technical problems with desktop computing equipment.
- Provide customer assistance and troubleshooting with mobile devices.
- Assist with hardware troubleshooting on pagers.
- Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong customer service skills.
- Troubleshooting skills.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm and on call rotation. Some travel to other facilities may be needed.
