Clinical Veterinarian - Animal Resource Center
Minimum Qualifications:
- Veterinary Medical Degree (DVM or VMD).
- 2 years of experience in the field of veterinary medicine or commensurate experience.
- Licensed in at least one state in the U.S.
- Must obtain Texas Veterinary Licensure within one year of hire.
- Ability to work in maximum biocontainment level facility.
Preferred Work Experience:
- Experience with NHPs, rodents, and small ruminants.
- Biocontainment experience ABSL3-4
Preferred Skill/Competency:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism in working with Principal Investigators and research staff at all levels of the organization.
- Willing and eligible to obtain USDA accreditation and DEA registration.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Department of Justice (DOJ) clearance for access to a maximum level biocontainment facility.
- ACLAM board eligible/willingness to attain ACLAM board eligibility.
- Knowledge of and ability to function in a participatory management environment.
- Basic computer skills (e.g. Microsoft)
Salary:
Salary is commensurate with experience.
