Business Manager, Primary Care Services
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5 years of business-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business management, finance, or health care management.
- Experience in academic health care setting, budgeting, business planning. Advanced MS Excel, MS Access, Essbase, Smart View, Power/MyPower experience preferred.
Job Summary:
Serves as departmental business manager for the Family Medicine Department in ASGV/Primary Care Services. Assists the ASGV/Primary Care Group director of business operations in organizational development, departmental operations, departmental reporting, assists with all human resource needs of the department and performance management.
Job Duties:
- Reports to ASGV Director of Business Operations.
- Serves as departmental business manager, assisting with the daily business and operations of the department.
- Supervises all departmental managers and chair office staff and coordinates staff development, annual evaluations and HR issues for all staff.
- Ensures departmental managers and staff are engaged and informed of any AE or institutional changes in polices or procedures.
- Assists with human resource needs of the department.
- Submits all departmental additional pay requests by the AESC deadlines each month ensuring accuracy.
- Drafts SBARs for the department.
- Runs Qgenda reports as needed.
- Approves AESC departmental submissions and ensures they are tracked and recorded on internal spreadsheets.
- Runs monthly datamart reports and reconciles accounts.
- Assists with special projects and requests as assigned and needed by the department.
- Oversees departmental Kronos entries for both monthly and biweekly employees, ensuring FMLA cases are correctly entered and time off requests are approved.
- Works with the Chair, Administrator, and Director of Business Operations to oversee educational and research programs.
- Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
- Performs related duties as required.
Salary Range: Actual salary commensurate with experience or range if discussed and approved by hiring authority.
