Associate Dean, Educational Affairs - School of Medicine
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
MD, PhD or equivalent degree and a minimum of three years of experience with medical student education at an LCME- accredited US medical school.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Five or more years of experience with medical student education, including curricular innovation and accreditation oversight
- Experience as a course/clerkship director or equivalent.
- Experience in faculty development.
- Experience as a manager with direct reports.
- Experience managing multiple budgets
- Prior experience with LCME
- Demonstrated experience with conflict resolution and excellent interpersonal skills with students, faculty, and staff
- Ability to work with leadership across an institution and represent the interest of all groups in an equitable manner
- Experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment
PREFERRED SKILL/COMPETENCY:
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to interact with a wide range of students, faculty, and staff.
- Ability to plan, organize, set and accomplish goals.
- Ability to analyze/evaluate data and make appropriate recommendations.
- Ability to organize and present data in a concise manner.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- A passion for students and commitment to professionalism.
