ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

This will be shared clinical psychologist position between the Family Medicine (60% effort) and Anesthesiology (40% effort) Departments and will provide comprehensive health care with enhanced access for patients and will contribute and manage chronic pain issues. He/she will practice at the Family Medicine Island West, Island East and Dickinson Clinics to assist clinical providers with pain management of patients. In Anesthesiology, this clinician will have 40% clinical effort to evaluate patients with chronic pain and provide options for treatment like biofeedback, counseling, and group therapy and evaluate patients for interventional treatments like stimulator placement and intrathecal pumps.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Ph.D. in Psychology; Eligible for Texas License.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Current valid/unrestricted Texas Medical License

Commensurate with experience.
