Assistant Professor Non-Tenure Track Clinical, Internal Medicine-General Medicine
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The faculty member will:
- Participate in the education and mentorship of medical students as designated by School of Medicine Academic Affairs (i.e., Problem Based Learning, Practice of Medicine, Integrated Curriculum Evaluation Exercise, Interviews, etc.)
- Collaborate with medical students and residents on quality improvement and other opportunities to improve teaching clinics and population health
- Precept interprofessional teaching clinics at community sites including Coastal Health and Wellness, St. Vincent’s Clinics, and community clinics at partner organizations
- Provide direct patient care to the underserved community of Galveston County (St. Vincent’s Clinic, Coastal Health and Wellness clinics)
- Participate in departmental meetings and committee meetings, and other scholarly activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
MD degree, Board certification or Board eligibility in Internal Medicine.
SALARY:
Commensurate with experience.
