Job Description:

 

The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) at Galveston, Division of Urology is seeking qualified, board certified M.D. or M.D. Ph.D. candidates to expand our current program including a Regional Care/Community General Urology position. Faculty appointments will be at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level (board eligible or certified preferred) commensurate with qualifications and experience. UTMB is the leading trauma center in the region and provides ample clinical, academic, and research opportunities. 

Responsibilities will include clinical care of urology patients, education of students, residents and fellows and participation in research programs. Candidates are expected to develop a clinical practice at the nearby off campus facilities, as well as, at UTMB main campus, which together form the UTMB Health System, the largest regional hospital system in Southeastern Texas. 

In addition, the person in this position will have administrative responsibility including supervising and evaluating residents, providing medical direction and participating in committee memberships at the Departmental and Health System level. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate should be a graduate of an approved medical school, have completed an approved residency training program, be Certified/Board Eligible in Urology and have a Texas Medical License without restrictions.
