Administrative Manager, School of Health Professions NMRS Department
Min Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field; 2 years related experience.
Specific Job Related Duties:
- Provide direct assistance to Department Chair with administrative/institutional functions and act on his behalf when necessary
- Supervise departmental administrative staff and complete annual evaluations
- Manage budgeting, reporting, strategic planning
- Manage/coordinate communications, activities, etc. within the department
- Manage accounts and approve/monitor expenses on class accounts
- Manage personnel activities & evaluation process for faculty, postdocs, graduate assistants, staff, and adjunct/without salary appointments
- Manage recruitment and new hire activities
- Develop/update/implement department procedures and ensure employee compliance with university guidelines
- Oversee space and inventory for department
- Oversee external visits (recruitment, guest lecturers, etc.)
- Manage/develop content for departmental website thru SHP and print materials as necessary
- Work with current Rehab Division Manager to transition duties and train on relevant functions (expect completion within 1 year)
- Meet monthly with new Research Office director to review grant activity, budgets, etc.

Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Preferred Skill/Competency:
- Good verbal and written communication
- Experience with Kronos, Peoplesoft FMS/HCM, DataMart, MyStar
Preferred Work Experience:
- Two years experience in an administrative support role
- Experience working in an academic setting
- Experience with budgeting and accounts management
