Adjunct Assistant Professor, Respiratory Care
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Department of Respiratory Therapy is seeking a qualified and dedicated Adjunct Professor to teach courses in Respiratory Therapy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory care, clinical experience, and a passion for educating future healthcare professionals.
- Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on or virtual demonstrations in respiratory therapy courses.
- Develop course materials, assessments, and learning objectives in alignment with program standards.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students in clinical settings.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance the educational experience and curriculum.
- Stay current with advancements in respiratory care and integrate them into course content.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
- Current license or certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Previous teaching experience at the college level preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student success and professional development.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Doctoral Degree in related field.
- Specialty credentials by the NBRC.
SALARY:
Commensurate with experience.
