Director, Perioperative Services
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
BSN and related Master’s degree. Minimum of seven years relevant experience in the management and administration of Perioperative Services. Must possess and maintain a current RN license or valid temporary permit to practice in Texas and nursing specialty certification in CNOR or nursing leadership.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's of Science in Nursing or Master's in Healthcare Administration
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- Key knowledge of modern health care administration, principles and practices of health care planning and management, sufficient to direct and oversee nursing operations and ensure quality, effective patient care
- Ability to develop and analyze options, recommend solutions and take effective action
- Demostrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of institutional personnel including; directors, managers, physicians, employees, patients and the public
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with staff, regulatory agencies, government officials and the public
- Effective verbal, written communication and group presentation skills
